[ Genealogy of Leighs]
(Back from Elizabeth Nash) He was identified as father of 145.ELIZABETH WYARD, wife of WILLIAM SCOURFIELD, the earliest traceable ancestor in the SCOURFIELD family. But nothing more was found on the WYARD family. 384. JOHN ap OWEN [BOWEN of Lochmeyler line] (abt 1340-?) From his wife he obtained the estate of Roblinston in Camrose parish, and his son and heir 192.MORRIS assumed his mother's arms instead of the BOWEN arms (GG, Gwaethvoed 42L 1649, Film no.104350). JOHN'S grandson Roger later inherited the Roblin estate and had a line of step-cousins to our own line from MORRIS BOWEN and his first wife. 385. JANE ROBLIN of Roblinston The ROBLIN family lived at Roblinston in Camrose parish as early as 1252. Their arms were listed as "Gules two rings interlaced or", i.e. A red shield with two gold rings interlocked. 386. RICHARD WYRRIOT of Orielton (Wales) (?-aft 1384) Besides living at Orielton, RICHARD also lived for a while as an official in Manorbier Castle, according to Owen's History of Pembrokeshire, Vol. 5. Manorbier Castle was used in the video of The Chronicles of Narnia as the location and building of Cair Paravel, where Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy reigned with Aslan's guidance. 387. ?Elen Huscard (living in 1384) / ?Isabel Crabhole Her name as spouse comes from George Owen's History of Pembrokeshire, Vol.5, Index. Vol.5. I know nothing more of her family. The GG book, however, gives RICHARD WYRRIOT'S wife as Isabel dau of Philip Crabhole of Pembroke (Adv Pembs 341B, Film no.104352). Perhaps he married twice.
